Good point, though easier said than done at the moment. Good third
option if I can find both of the pieces needed.
Oh yeah, you responded to my bad things post from last week asking if my
dad was guilty?
My Dad is guilty as hell. He did it, and hes doin time for it. He's a
three time loser on the prison game, but the first time was in Ireland
for "membership in an illegal organization" and it was only for a few
months. The second was US federal for 8+1/3-25 (he served the minimum),
and this time is for 5 years. Coincidentally its in the same priosn he
sent the last two years of his last sentence in, Allenwood Federal
correctional facility in Allenwood PA.
My only thought was the time was kind of excessive. 5 years for
laundering less than 100 grand. I've seen guys go down for 18 months for
5 million.
The feds kind of have it in for him cuz when they first got him on
smuggling, laundering, and trafficing in the early 80's they think they
missed about half his assets. Since they siezed 140 mil that's a pretty
significant chunk of change they figger hes still got stashed somewhere.
