   I rarely do more than "what needs to be done" with my computers.  
Thing is, "what needs to be done" varies greatly from person to person. 
  You might not find yourself, for example, running spice simulations on 
your machines...but I do it frequently, and it eats CPUs alive.

   Believe it or not, computers really do have uses other than surfing 
porn, exchanging email, and playing MP3s.
