I can't immediately visualize a schema for a hierarchical database for a
dictionary that would be any more useful than a fully-normalized tabular
database.

However, one of my toy projects is a bidirectional database using BDB.
If it ever gets past the "Hm. That would be cool" stage, I'll let you
know. :)
