As an individual, as a nation, and as a planet this is a major loss. My
heart goes out to the families of the crew first of all, but also to the
whole human race. One more giant leap backwards away from our potential
among the stars.
There are few fields of human endeavor where 98.2 percent is a failing
grade. Clearly this is one of them.
