My Dell Inspiron 8100 (not the flimsy lattitude laptop) is *great* -
I'm speaking for, again, the hardware design. The screen is beautiful
(1600x1200 15" UXGA), the keyboard is good, and the 1GHz PIII is more
than enough CPU for my needs.

<Maybe I'm too hard on my laptop.  My last laptop was an Inspiron 8000;
after the first year the hinge felt 'loose' and the keyboard had lost it's
play.  But, I'll admit I'm hard on my equipment; not abusive, just routine
use includes an environment with kids and furry pets.  Brian>
