Never read any of his fiction - it wasn't even until after I saw the
first episode of A Cooks Tour that I realized he was a fiction writer. 
I've read that he's regarded as a pulp fiction author, but he does seem
to have a good fan base.  I like his sense of humor, and his *very*
non-PC musings...
