I agree it was by far the best phone I ever owned. They've actually
stopped manufacturing the base model 6310 though there are still lots
around for sale. When the I first came out it was differentiated by a
silver and green cover, but pretty much everyone hated it so they
changed back to the dark grey and gold, which everyone still hates, but
hates less than the other.

The reason theres nothing replaceable is to cut down on bulk, and
because msot 6310 (ant its predecessor the 6210 which I also had) are
used by businesses so its not as big a selling point to be cusomtisable
like most of Nokias other phones are.

Though you can get a free nameplate for the base of the phone from
Nokia.

To replastic the thing costs about 25 if you do it yourself but you'll
need microtorx drivers. A nokia service center will charge you something
like 40 including the plastic.

Oh and be careful about the batteries. Yes they are great and incredibly
thin, but they are VERY heat sensitive. If the thing gets overheated it
loses capacity fast (like most batteries).

Oh and the price you paid is quite good for a non-contract unlocked
phone. The list price is about $200 higher than that. I paid 199 for
mine, but that was with a 2 year contract that I transferred to a friend
after I left.
