Ayup. Slashdot had it a few hours ago. 

Luckily under french law its almost meaningless. Companies have been
known to go through years in bankruptcy operating as if nothing had
happened. 

Also the french have another interesting little habit. The judge simply
declares them for sale, and an approved individual or group is allowed
to buy the company whole, debt free, and in posession of it's remaining
assets. 

That is not to say either will happen with Mandrake, but bankruptcy isnt
really a death knell as it often is in the US.
