Anyone remember an exceptionally crapped movie called "Fair
Game", starting Cindy Crawford, Steven Baldwin and
Russian terrorists (who were using extremely goofy keyboards).
Anyway.... they filmed a decent portion of this movie down
around my home at the time in Homestead FL. Months before the
movie was shot they painted up a vacant storefront to be the
computer store in the movie, "Everglades Computers" or
something of that nature. The store front had all manner of
computer equipment listed from IBM and Toshiba to high end
Radius stuff. I saw this store front, which is located in a
rundown part of a somewhat rural town, next to a tortilla
factory. I thought it was very odd that someone would choose
this location to sell any semi high end stuff, i figured that
perhaps they had a contract or something with the security
company a few blocks away. In any event, i was elated. I'm
thinking, Great! now i can buy all my Radius stuff just 10
minutes from home (i was big into Macs and video at the time).
I looked for a phone number and waited for this place to open
up for months, called 411 i don't know how many times.
Finally, a year later or so i saw the computer store in the
movie and figured out the deal. We all had a good laugh off
that one.
