Theoretically, yes, but I don't know why.

I just tried the tardist, which seems to have been compiled without
quicktime support.  Bleah.

Compiling my own now, but it also seems to have disabled quicktime, as
well as a host of others.  If that's true, it's dissapointing to say the
least.  I'll know for sure in a few.
