I don't know what the original poster was talking about, but maybe that 
we have no more right to defend ourselves against American Indians than 
we did in taking their land and showing them the middle finger in the 
first place.  I.e. it weakens your argument.... but then again that's a 
whole other can of elongated dirt molluscs.
