Jup that's what it does.

(switch)----(Injector)-------------(Access Point)
                         I-(Powersupply)

So all you have to pull to the access point is one cat5 cable and 
that's it.
Some switches have power built in so you just have to hook the AP to the
switch and it gets the power out of the switch.
