Yep, and it really sucks.

A lot of people don't even realize that there is good rally racing in
the US, and its often far more interesting than the European rally.
I think the back roads are often worse in the US, making for some
"interesting" races.

A few weeks ago I watched a US rally on what could only be accurately
described as a "walking trail", not a road. They still managed to go
over 100kph on it.

\begin{aside}

I have to pause a moment to marvel at the guts of the navigator in a
rally car. I don't think I could sit there and do that while someone
else drove me through the woods at 50-100mph. They probably couldn't
air the audio from my navigation.

    Ahead 100, left 5 [beep] tightens [beep] [beep] into [beep]
    straight, [beep] crest at 100 into right [beep] 3, do not [beep]
    cut, [beep] [beep] [beep] [beep] [beep]-ing [beep] [beep]

There are a lot of seldom covered road courses in the US, very good
ones. In fact, I think it is an absolute shame that the US GP is at
Indy. Other tracks would have be a lot more interesting.

I'm so sick of NASCAR and drag racing...
