My iPod hard drive died today. It's official, I got the "sad iPod" icon
and the hard drive is unrecognizable to the iPod or the PowerBook. I
followed the instructions at ipodlounge to disassemble and disconnect,
then reconnect the iPod drive, but no luck.

Anyone want a dead iPod? I suppose it could be used for the battery, or
the player itself. I've found a replacement HD at PDASmart.com for $150,
but I am probably going to just buy a new iPod.
