I was curious so I e-mailed Sonnet about their G card and using it in the
Airport slot.  There response (below) was as expected but also
interesting.

Mike,

Not such an odd question really. We get it a lot. The internal slot
isn't a standard PCMCIA slot actually. There are some electrical
differences so you are correct in that you can't put our Aria extreme
card inside a machine that doesn't have an external PCMCIA slot.

I have a feeling our engineers are looking into an internal card but
can't be sure since they don't talk about what they're working on when
it comes to unannounced product.
