Brian started out that way (needing the CDE login session), then
(before posting) got wrapped around the axle over why I couldn't get
xclock to display on my laptop. For Pete's sake,it's _xclock_ not
rocket science.
I'm now dimly recalling that our DBA had a world of trouble getting
the Exceed to work on his laptop, his workaround was to hard code his
IP into /etc/hosts. It sure feels like the same problem he had. I
suspect once I calm down and get back to it in the a.m. the problem
will magic itself away.
