I had the pleasure of working outside during the summer of 1982 when, according
to the map, Brood V was active.  Apparently they like the color yellow, because
one day I wore a yellow t-shirt and a yellow hat and they kept landing on them.

The cicadas were really thick and for the two or three weeks they were most
active I really hated working outside.  The cicadas were constantly flying
around in thick swarms.
