Modify the /etc/config/nsd.options file under IRIX 6.5 and add a line
like this
-a nis_security=local -a nis_servers=<ipaddress> for one nis server.
or
-a nis_security=local -a nis_servers="<ipaddress ipaddress ipaddress>"
for several nis servers.
