The Solaris 9 Sunfreeware CD is the Solaris 8 Sunfreeware CD, IIRC. I've not seen a similar Solaris 10 image, but Solaris 10 is "released" yet, is it?

I would expect the software on the sunfreeware CD to support an IDE burner - have you tried yet?
