That's my point.  Of course I can duplicate the effect by taking
my Sun optical mouse pad and turning it 90 degrees, or better yet,
use a piece of ductwork as a mouse pad (yeah, it does work).
Here's a clue....optical mouse. (falling on deaf ears) :)
