Good thoughts.
I had not thought about using eeprom. I do get fixed on doing things
one-way and at times fail to consider my options.
At the day-job (where this is from) we have had net install /jumpstart
in the past but they fell into disuse when the admin who set them up
left. Old story; the dayjob does not have enough manpower to devote to
infrastructure AND install the new stuff demanded by the business group
so the former looses to the latter.
