But I did snag a Dell PowerEdge 6350 4x 500 MHz Xeon server with triple-redundant power supplies, 2 Gigs of RAM, some add-in Fiber controllers and some extra Ethernet controllers (with only one 18 Gig SCSI HD) for the tidy sum of $68...
It's on the Solaris HCL, and once I get it on the workbench, I'll get SOlaris 10 11/06 on it and have some fun with it ;^)
I also got a bunch of "generic" dual P3 boxes that appear to have been part of a cluster:
6 4U Rack mount cases
3 Antec full-height tower cases
each with a supermiro MB, dual PIII (450 MHz), 256 Meg RAM, and one 6-10 Gig HD, and extra Ethernet cards with color-coded stickers over the ports.
I was thinking of tinkering with it a bit, but it was running Red Hat 5.2 Linux, so I thought better of it and am compressing them down into some nice little servers...
I also got an IBM NetVista all-in-one PC (566 MHz Celeron, 15" LCD display) no RAM, no HD, and it won't boot (suspect cracked capacitor on the MB) - anyone want it? $10 + actual S/H and it's yours (the case is in pretty good condition, and includes the CD and floppy drives). If interested, contact me off-list.
Thanks,
Lionel
