I would go with Dell for flat panels, just based on my experience with
their warranty support and advance-replacement policy.

I have an E196FP (19" analog-input) that developed a spot of bad pixels
that was too large to just ignore. I emailed Dell support around 7:30pm on
a Saturday night, with "I'm customer number X, my order number is Y, I have
an E196FP that has developed bad pixels. I've tested with a different
video card, different cable, and different system, and the problem hasn't
gone away. My order stated that I have four-year advance replacement, what
can you do?"

I got an email back around three hours later, "Your replacement monitor
should arrive on Tuesday." It did, I put the old monitor in the same box,
slapped the pre-printed label on top, and dropped it off at DHL on my way
to work a few days later. End of story.

Viewsonic has gone downhill since the market shifted to LCDs, IMHO.
