This is not a combat mud; it's quite definitely a tiny.  (Various
people have invented various combat systems for it, of varying degrees
of complexity, but none have really caught on.)  It started life as a
daemonmuck server (2.2.8.5d, if very fuzzy memory serves), but I've
evolved it on a completely separate line from any other codebase.

It is.  It feels to me as though it has outlived most of its really
live life and is now in the long slow slide into senescence.  However,
it's still useful (FSVO "useful") enough to be worth keeping running.
And, who knows, it may someday reawaken.
