If you are using Windows you can set the sound card for beeps to be one thing
and Winamp to the other. Since most motherboards come with the equivalent
of $20 sound cards, I put $30 (much better) or higher priced  sound cards
in all of our computers.

You just assign the beeps to the sound card you are not using.
