There appears to be a lot of work on Linux on the Octane, including some
support of SI graphics for acceleration.

I'll be sticking with PPC Macs for quite sometime as well. I'll use
Linux on x86 PCs, but I don't really want to support the OS X Intel move
any sooner than I have to.
