Question for the Mac-clueful:
My kids have a lot of educational games. Since CDs are fragile in small
hands, we don't let them have the original CDs, they play from mounted
CD images. On Windows this is easily accomplished using VirtualCD. The
Macs, though, present a problem. I can image the CDs using Disk Copy,
and mount the images as virtual drives, which works fine; but the small
kids are set up with the Panels interface, and I am utterly unable to
find a way either to tell MacOS 9 that they have permission to mount
disk images, or to have the needed images premounted for them.
Anyone have any suggestions, aside from making them full unrestricted users?
