Yes ... in fact I use Vmware workstation at home and at work. However
there is some stuff that seems to require a real machine ... for
example, running 3D software under Windows (which I don't do often, but
have done) or programming my Pronto (which probably *should* work in
Vmware, but it doesn't work ... and I haven't chased down why).
