I do pretty well on eBay looking for guys selling drives in multiple
quantities. There were a couple auctions a week or two ago of qty 5 or
6 drives, in a dutch auction format, so the prices  were kept
artifically low.

Got 6 IBM 36GB 7200rpms for $25, and 5 36GB 10k Cheetahs for $75. Not
bad at all.
