not a problem.  no really really big diesels would fit anyway - and
i'm self-limited to engines that have bellhousings for toyota's 'ax5'.
i'm leaning toward a 2L-THE; 2.5L, ~100 hp and ~160 ft-lbs.  that
compares well with the four, ~125 and ~150, and well ahead of the
renault 2.1 of '85-7.

what little i've heard about the renault diesel hasn't been salutory.
and underpowered?!?  but it's backed with the ax5, so the toyota swap
again...
