Microsoft has apparently bought into the stupid idea that buying into
DRM at this level is going to present them with a captive marketplace.
If all hardware must support DRM to work with Windows, and only Windows
will run on the DRM-enabled hardware, that looks to Microsoft a lot like
a 100% captive market that can't go to a competing OS even if it wants to.
