I forgot two other nits in the picture:

The police, it seems, all use Yaseu 2 meter radios, they show the radio faceplates set to 144.??? MHz, which was quite a suprise, esp. since the radio was about 30 feet tall,and a hundred feet wide on the screen I saw themovie on ;^)

Also, it seems that Kevin Smith's character keeps a CB radio for "just in case" scenarios, but he keeps it set to "66.6 MHz" - smack dab in the middle of channel 3.[2]
