Not just a Richard Pryor movie.  It was a remake of a remake of a 
remake.  There have been versions of that movie made since the beginning 
of the film industry.

Nope.  The concept of "Brewster's Millions" is that he had to spend it
and have *nothing* to show for it at the end of the month.  In your
example, he would have the million-dollar house in Los Altos, so
basically, according to the rules of the contest, he wouldn't have spent
any money at all.

If memory serves, one of the things he did was to buy an extremely
valuable collector's stamp and used it to mail a letter.  8-)
