[geeks] portmaster configuration

I'm trying to put my Portmaster back online to control all my headless
servers, and can't get it working right.

The major problem is that I'm connecting the portmaster's serial cables
directly to the serial ports on my servers and it appears I need null
modem converters on all of the servers.

I swear I don't ever remember having null converters when I last used my
Portmaster as a remote console server.

Isn't there some kind of setting to make the portmaster serial ports use
the right signals for remote console?

Or have I just forgotten that I used to use null converters?

I just need this to work for a little while until I can get one of those
smaller Cisco boxes someone here mentioned, to replace the larger
Portmaster.
