Question is, what is the impedance of the speakers and the resistance
of the cable at the length you want to use? According to Roger
Russell (former head of acoustic research at McIntosh), if the cable
is thick enough it will do just fine. The goal is to have the
speaker wire resistance be no more than 5% of the speaker's
impedance, measured in ohms.
