Just an FYI:

Lenovo's D10 looks like a nice workstation and is well priced. The RAM
config is interesting:

Standard RAM config is 1GB, but:

4GB ECC DDR2 PC2-5300 SDRAM (2x2GB FBDIMM)  [ subtract $5.00]
Save 50% on this upgrade for a limited time.

So 4GB costs less than 1 (?), and

8GB ECC DDR2 PC2-5300 SDRAM (4x2GB FBDIMM)  [ $70.00]

So, a final configuration of:

2X Quad Core Xeon E5405, 8GB of RAM, and 2x160 SATA hard drives with
basic graphics comes out to $1475, which comes out to around $1250
with the readably available student/employee discount codes on the
web.
