I actually prefer people just edit down the URL.  Places like Newegg and
Amazon can have their URLs stripped way down to just a product ID string. 
For Newegg, you just need "Item=", so when someone posts a Newegg URL they
can shorten it to just this:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16856167032

Amazon's URLs can be shorted even more, just needing a "/dp/" followed by
the product code, like this:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018RWCKA/
