The new Energy Star standard indicates power factor correcting supplies
giving a pf exceeding .8. This is known as 80 PLUS Certified (TM). Many
vendors are jumping on that bandwagon, which I consider a good thing.
I can't really comment on the *efficency* of those power supplies, I'm
no EE.
