And if you ask http://www.dictionary.com/ to define "Hobson's choice",
it says

   the choice of taking either that which is offered or nothing; the
   absence of a real alternative.

which says nothing about how pleasant the putative chooser may find
either "that which is offered" or "nothing" - which matches well with
my experience of the phrase's usage.
