Seagate Barracuda has always been more expensive than the WD drives.
I have always found them to be higher quality myself, and get better  
performance out of them in most cases.
WD does seem to have improved in quality at least a little, but I  
still see more failures with their drives.
They also have only 1-3 year warranties, while Seagate has 5 year  
warranties.
Also, Seagate sells the Barracuda ES line which is 50% more than the  
standard Barracuda.
It has a couple of other features, even quieter, and it is supposed to  
be better quality.
For example, 500GB is normally around $110, while the ES version is  
around $150-160.
Yes, a lot of sellers don't bother to note exactly which Barracuda  
they are selling.
How is that for confusing?
