I wouldn't have just assumed it was fake either.  There are plenty of
real online services that provide
remote desktop access to a user's PC.  I can't help wondering if some
of them are harvesting data or waiting
for someone working at a juicy target to open up a GAPING SECURITY
HOLE into their employer's network.
