[geeks] ftp client issues S10-AIX5.2

Hi guys!
I've got a S10 machine with Generic_118833-36 and AIX 5.2 TL2.
Uptime of machine: up 29 day(s), 22:48

Problem is that ftp and rsh clients sometimes get borked and goes to 0 byte
sizes
Like this:

ftp> bin
200 Type set to I.
ftp> prom
Interactive mode off.
ftp> put anoncvssh.c
200 PORT command successful.
425 Can't build data connection: Invalid argument
ftp> pwd
452 Error writing file: Bad file number
ftp> ls

or it sits silently preteding to transfer data and do nothing.

snoop shows this from a trouble session : (I run it with snoop -t a -o
ftp.log)

Network settings are

ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_time_wait_interval
60000

/usr/sbin/ndd -set  /dev/tcp tcp_conn_req_max_q 2048
/usr/sbin/ndd -set  /dev/tcp tcp_conn_req_max_q0 4096
and default for others.

At the moment I switched to verbose mode to get more detail.

In the meantime I'd appreciate if someone shares his/her experience on this.
I've checked the 425 message on google - options are to reboot or disable
inet6 or reconfig fw
which currently is out of my scope or change to client which understands
pasv.
