I just stumbled on to a company website (www.sansdigital.com) that lists a few 
interesting items:

CF to 2.5" SATA HD form-factor w/RAID[0] or w/o RAID[1]

5 bay SATA HD "frame", can be expanded to 10 bays easily[2]

Rackmount JBOD for SATA drives[3]

Rackmount 4x IDE to SCSI chassis[4] that allows spanning across devices
