Modern computers haven't been singular computing devices for over a  
decade. 3D cards, Sound processors, Power Managers, smart Disk  
Controllers, all have been around for ages and all are their own  
computers within a computer.

The correct definition for a modern 'computer' is on fact IMHO a  
'computer system'.
