I need to find some rack screws for $work. Its one of those parts I have to buy
a bulk supply of in one shot, so if I choose wrong, I'll have a few years of
kicking myself and getting kicked by coworkers for the crappy screws...
The requirements are thus:
1. 10-32.
2. Phillips driven.
3. Dog-tip.
4. Shorter than 1" (whats the point of long ones I wonder?)
Google seems to indicate that only one other nerd has considered the question in
depth: http://epl.meei.harvard.edu/Engineering/rackscrews.html . I thought I'd
ask the group for opinions or options I hadn't considered, as well as any
suppliers I should investigate.
Its a communications department; we manage all the switches, routers, injectors,
patch panels, etc. 400+ racks of gear across campus I'm sure...
