[geeks] HP Mini 2133 OS Options

I just picked up a HP Mini 2133 netbook for pretty-much half price  
(229 GBP down from 400) on Clearance (the 2140 Intel Atom version is  
out next month) and I wondered if anyone had any pearls of wisdom for  
an OS?

Spec is:

VIA C7-M ULV 1.2GHz (yes, not the fastest thing on 122 legs)
VIA Chrome9 Chipset/Video
1GB RAM (will be 2 GB when the SODIMM arrives)
120GB Hard Disk
Broadcomm WiFi
Bluetooth
ExpressCard slot

I was thinking Ubuntu, 8.04.2 or 8.10. Anyone know which is faster on  
low spec hardware?

I could easily Dual-Boot in that space, so what Windows would work  
best? I'd guess XP?

I have seen OSX86 running on one on da 'Tube, but there were very few  
details. Anyone got the skinny on this?

I'm kinda of excited to get it, it looks like a really nicely made  
piece, looks a lot nicer than that horrid plasticness of the EEE PC  
and Acer One.
