[geeks] 'Good' Domain registrars in the USA

Looking for a good, cost effective, and no-BS domain name registrar in  
the USA for a friend to register a couple of domains for a project we  
are collaborating on.

BTW, incase you are interested, it's exciting (for us at least), it's  
based around a bunch of Twitter users who are really great folks, and  
is focussed on Space Exploration and observation (so it's
