First of all, I'm not way upstate. I'm still in the New York metro
area. For example, there are a *lot* of people who commute to jobs in
NYC from here every day on commuter trains rather than intercity trains.
Second of all, 140kBTU/h is only 41kW. If I turn absolutely everything
on, I'll beat that by a significant margin.
Third of all, the computer doesn't have to get the entire house warm in
order to melt down. It just has to get its immediate environment too
warm. I'd bet that, even with more than 41kW of equipment running, I'd
probably still have parts of the house that were quite cold.
