SMP is a definite plus, I'll suggest the Ultra 60, though the Ultra 2  
is still a very usable box.

SPARC desktops have small memory capacities, based on current standards.

The E450 was considered a workstation, but that is likely pushing the  
definition too far for most...

eBay, xvr-500 and up should be good enough for most needs, IMHO.
