Of course, if it *is* that the card's gone bad, I'm SOL until I can pick
up a replacement or a pair of 8-port LSIs.

The machine has 4GB of RAM, and can hold up to 16GB (DDR333), so I'd
hope that wouldn't be too terrible an issue.
